Animal Outings Pet Care provides a professional service for those times when life just takes over and you need someone you can entrust with the care of your pets.

Based in Ripon, covering the surrounding area to approximately a 10 mile radius, we offer to walk your dog/s, cuddle your cat/s and snuggle with your small pets.

We are fully insured, police checked, fully licenced by Harrogate Borough Council for home boarding, and dedicated animal lovers who will attend to your pets requirements with the care and compassion they deserve.

CARROLL
Hello, my name is Carroll Shaw and I have run Animal Outings Pet Care in Ripon since April 2007.

My family consists of Chocolate Labrador who I’ve had since she was seven weeks old, a two-year-old Lakeland x Fell Terrier who we adopted in February 2008 through Rescue Remedies Terrier Rescue, four rescue cats (and counting!) aged between three and 10, three rescue rabbits and two guinea pigs born in November 2007. Oh, and two kids! 

In 2009, we became the proud owners of a long-awaited bearded dragon.

As the owner of the above pets I know how difficult a decision it can be to find someone to look after your pets reliably and responsibly when you’re going away either on holiday or business, or you experience a change to daily work commitments, hospital admission or your mobility becomes impaired.

This is where Animal Outings Pet Care can hopefully be of some help to you.

Having been a customer of Animal Outings for over two years, I know exactly what it is that sets this service apart; namely its dedication to giving the best, most professional, reliable and individual service to owners and their much loved pets.  It is a great honour that I am now in a position to, and have been handpicked by Carroll to join her in extending this first rate service to others in the Ripon and surrounding area.  

I grew up in a horsey, doggy, pet orientated family and have carried this on into my own adult life.  I have a great deal of experience in the proper care required to keep most pets, traditional and exotic, in the optimum of condition.   As important, is my deep understanding and appreciation of the special bond between owner and pet and as a pet sitter, boarder and walker, I truly understand the level of trust and responsibility it entails.

My current, very happy,  family consists of two boys, both of whom plan to train as vets, two super chilled Labradors, five lazy cats all from rescue societies, two tortoises and a snake.  Unfortunately the credit crunch resulted in our having to sell on our three ponies and two horses, but we are in touch with all the new owners and get regular updates on their continued successes in competitions around the Country. 

In my "40 something" years of pet ownership I have developed a depth of knowledge and range of skills which I can now offer you: from walking or boarding dogs; turning out, mucking out, rugging up horses; cuddling, grooming and feeding cats; cleaning out, feeding and handling rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or chinchillas; checking the delicate, individualistic conditions required by snakes, other reptiles or tropical fish; medicating, or any combination of the above!   

I am looking forward to meeting new and existing customers of Animal Outings,  and working with you to give the continuity of love, individual care and peace of mind that responsible pet ownership demands and each animal deserves.
