"I felt like a new mum trying to find a nursery for a baby never been left before. How could anyone look after your baby like you!

I needed someone I could trust twice a week to walk "my baby" - Toby. He's 10 years old and only been walked by family, he is quite a sensitive dog, very quiet and loves routine.

Carroll was recommended to me at the same time as I found her website. When we met she was very professional and had lots of paperwork that made me feel very confident that she was experienced - Toby warmed to her straight away.

Like a new mum, the first time Carroll walked him I was on tenderhooks, but I couldn't be happier and neither could Toby. She built up his confidence by walking him in his environment where he is happy and has slowly and patiently worked up to taking him securely in her car to some fantastic walks, especially if water is involved - Toby is obsessed by water - qualities that Carroll is getting to know just by spending time with him.

She always leaves informative comments of what they've been up to, just like a child's record book from nursery, which I think is excellent and reassuring.

"We chose Carroll Shaw and Animal Outings for home boarding Ozzie, our labrador, for a month while we were on vacation.

Carroll was always friendly and approachable and easy to contact at any time of the day or evening. Ozzie was walked daily in the beautiful Yorksire countryside, fed the same detailed diet we feed, wormed on our request when due, weighed, trained and played with all day and evening. It was obvious from the emails, SMS messages, phone calls, photos and video that he was being cared for extremely well and was happy, safe and secure. He was well socialised with other dogs and even came home with better manners than he left with!

Carroll took a detailed history/notes before we left our dog with her, and in doing that I felt she was really taking the time to get to know him and understand him, something which I've never seen by a pet carer before and my husband and I were both very impressed with this. 

Animal Outings made our holiday all the more amazing because we could relax in the knowledge that our dog was in the next best thing to home.
